new setback for Auxerre, beaten at Guingamp

AJA remains at the foot of the podium after its defeat at En Avant this Monday, during the 13th day of Ligue 2.

Auxerre suffered another setback by losing for the second time in a row, this time on the pitch at Guingamp (2-1), Monday at the end of the 13th day of Ligue 2. The Auxerres thus missed the opportunity to return to the podium and remain in fourth place in the standings with 22 points, a week after their surprise defeat at home against relegated Dunkirk (1-0). The EAG, for its part, did well for the evening by coming back to within two points of its evening opponent, with 20 units, and rose to sixth place in the ranking.

L’En Avant was the first to find the fault in this open part, after half-time, when Hugo Picard’s cross forced Auxerre defender Théo Pellenard to send the ball into his own goal (1-0, 51st ). A twist of fate which had the merit of waking up the AJA, 15 minutes later. Gaëtan Perrin concluded a model of action, starting from his own penalty area, with a superb curling shot from the right which came to lodge in the small net of the Costarmoricans (1-1, 72nd). The joy was short-lived for the Icaunais, since Amine El Ouazzani scored his sixth goal of the season, with a direct free kick to allow the Bretons to take the lead again (2-1, 80th).

Guingamp, force 5

An achievement synonymous with the fifth success of the season for the Guingampais, and the third setback for Auxerre. Auxerre’s Raveloson and Guingamp’s Sivis both received a red card in a very tense end to the match. The AJA will try to get back on the podium during the clash of the next day on Saturday, with the reception of Saint-Etienne, third.
