Lena hasn’t been seen in the stadium since Nagelsmann left Bayern, but now she’s back.
The relationship between the two is probably one of the most unusual love stories in German football. She was a Bayern reporter for BILD and reported daily on the club and coach Nagelsmann. At some point the working relationship turned into a romantic relationship.
Wurzenberger immediately quit as a Bayern reporter when the relationship became known and moved to the local editorial team at BILD Munich.
Before Nagelsmann took on the role as DFB coach, the couple enjoyed their free time together, went on vacation and hikes, and were often seen as fans at ice hockey or polo.
Sweet: In May there was a “new addition to the family”: Lena and Julian picked up the Labrador puppy Rosalie from a breeder in Straubing.

In addition to Lena, ex-national coach and world champion Joachim Löw (63) is also there to watch Nagelsmann’s home debut.
Löw served as DFB coach from 2006 to 2021, including winning the World Cup title in Brazil in 2014.
For Nagelsmann, the European Championship test is the home premiere at the place he wants to return to in less than eight months. In the best case scenario, the 36-year-old will be in the final of the 2024 European Football Championship with his DFB selection in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
