In a statement released on social networks the event explained: “The WTA has informed us that tennis player Nadia Podoroska will not play the Argentina Open WTA due to a change in her calendar.. Her place on the official tournament roster will be taken by the Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhovawho enters directly into the main draw.”
In this way, the six Argentine tennis players who will compete in the main draw will be: Lourdes Carlé (No. 173), Julia Riera (No. 156), Martina Capurro (No. 194), Solana Sierra (No. 210), Guillermina Naya (No. 380) and Julieta Estable (No. 603).
