Minister Lat Diop announces fanzones in the 46 departments of the country and 1 in the Diaspora

The Senegalese will be able to follow the matches of the national team in front of fanzones in all the departments of S2negal. The announcement was made this Monday by Sports Minister Lat Diop, during the vote on his ministry’s budget. A fanzone will also be set up in Treichville, an Ivorian town which has many Senegalese people.

“I would like to take this opportunity to say that the President of the Republic has made FanZones available to Senegalese people in the 46 departments of Senegal. I was also contacted earlier by a member of parliament from the diaspora who was requesting a FanZone in Treichville (Ivory Coast), a place bringing together many Senegalese people, it will happen. It is the President of the Republic who decided to involve all Senegal in this African Cup.declared the Minister of Sports.

To set up these fanzones and for all the work that awaits his men during the next financial year, a budget of 42 billion was voted in the National Assembly for the Ministry of Sports. “All measures have indeed been taken to put the national team in excellent performance conditions. The President of the Republic has given instructions to the services concerned so that, from the outset, all arrangements are made,” added Lat Diop.
