Mathieu van der Poel is currently training under a radiant sun in the area of Calpe and Altea on the Costa Blanca. Judging by the videos appearing on Instagram, the world champion is having a great time. On Wednesday he had a day of shock with teammate Gianni Vermeersch: MVDP put him on it in an uphill sprint, did a cheese grating competition and ended the day with a wheelie on the dike, to add a pun on top: “I wheelie love the beach”.
