Martin ‘Broken’ Marquez’s Farewell to Repsol Honda

Valencia

Jorge Martin breaks down Marc Marquez’s split with Repsol Honda. In his last race with Repsol Honda, Marquez was hit by Martin and failed to finish.

The final MotoGP series in 2023 took place at the Valencia MotoGP which was held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia, Spain, Sunday (26/11). Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin are still competing to become world champions in this series.

However, disaster struck for Martin on the sixth lap. Martin, who was in seventh place, forced his motorbike to accelerate until it hit the back of Marc Marquez’s motorbike at the fourth corner.

Martin crashed and couldn’t continue racing until Bagnaia confirmed he was champion. Bagnaia completed this achievement by winning the first podium at the Valencia MotoGP.

Martin’s careless action also ruined Marquez’s separation from Repsol Honda. Marquez, who was running his last race with Repsol Honda, had to finish it by rolling over in the gravel.

Baby Alien was thrown from his motorbike after Martin’s motorbike hit his motorbike. Fortunately, Marquez was not injured even though he was unable to continue racing after this incident.

Marquez then remained happy celebrating his farewell to Repsol Honda in the paddock even though he failed to finish at the Valencia MotoGP. In the video uploaded by Repsol Honda on Twitter, members of the Repsol Honda team lifted Marquez and threw him in the air. Marquez himself seemed to appreciate the actions of his colleagues.

“Winning, falling, raining, hot, day, night. In the end, every moment is worth celebrating. Once again thank you for the memories,” wrote Repsol Honda in the video upload.

Marc Marquez decided to leave Repsol Honda after the 2023 MotoGP ended. He ended his association with this Japanese team which had existed for 11 years in the MotoGP class.
