It was said that he put a stamp of quality on the audit for 14 years. Marcel Bieber also resigned from the board. As a training instructor, head of the karate department and on the board as a youth representative, he showed great interest in the new media. The chairman also praised Marcel Bieber for the redesigned homepage and the presentation on Facebook and Instagram. With his departure from the board, however, he will now take over the newly created media division, said Nigg happily as he presented him with a farewell gift.

Successful judokas

Judo veteran Rudi Pieleck was also bid farewell to the ranks of the large TV family. He was a co-founder of the judo department 50 years ago and, as a trainer from 1973 to 1985, was responsible for the sporting successes of the athletes. His move to Weiden ended this time. But Pieleck took over the direction of Vohenstrauß for a second time. One of his greatest successes in recent years was the Bavarian champion Verena Beimler, said Nigg. “You trained your protégés for the Upper Palatinate Championships, the North and Bavarian Championships and the South German Championships and prepared them for many belt tests and thus always encouraged and challenged them. The success of the judo department on TV Vohenstrauß will always be associated with your name.”

It was also time to say goodbye to Pertti Oikarinen as head of the volleyball department. “During your term of office, the 1st women’s team was promoted to the 2022 state league and the 2nd women’s team was promoted to the 2023 district class. The area of young talent is particularly pleasing. There is a real boom here at the moment,” praised the chairman. In addition to the farewells, there were numerous sports honors that evening. During the course of the evening, Andreas Eger presented the new TV commercial, which received a lot of attention from everyone. It shows the diversity of the gymnastics club. Max Mittelmeier was out and about with a colleague on the sports grounds and in the halls. Also new is the slogan “TV Vohenstrauß – Where sport and home grow together”, which Dominik Buchbinder suggested.

Treasurer Josef Pflaum spoke of the gymnastics club’s stable financial situation. However, if there had been no government Corona aid, the current cash balance would be different. Mayor Andreas Wutzlhofer congratulated Klaus Nigg on his new team and the sports offering. “The activity report was very remarkable and the city continues to strive to create the best possible conditions for TV and all clubs in the larger community,” said the city leader. Bettina Scotta finally applied to start a bike division. The club is positive about this request.
