Les Bleues held in check by Norway in the League of Nations

First hitch for the Blues in this League of Nations. Four days after its 2-1 victory in Oslo, France stalled against Norway this Tuesday in Reims (0-0). Despite 22 shots, including 9 on target, 66% possession and a countless number of dangerous situations, the Blues did not find the way to goal this time.

Two posts, one bar for the Blues

Sandie Toletti almost improved a rather average first half, but his goal was ultimately disallowed for an offside position. Hervé Renard’s protégés bared their fangs after the break, but without success. In the 49th minute, Sandie Toletti missed a huge opportunity, alone at the penalty spot. From then on, doubt settled in the heads of French women.

They hit the post twice, the bar once and were frustrated by several high-class saves from Aurora Mikalsen. The Norwegian goalkeeper notably made two very good saves on attempts by Sandy Baltimore, moving on her right side. France tried everything, but could not find the solutions against the courageous Norwegians, satisfied with this draw. Despite this stalling against the bottom of its group, France remains at the top of the ranking with three points ahead of Austria.
