Launch of Talent Detection and Selection Program for Mini-basket Category

First training sessions, November 25 and 26

He Talent Detection and Selection Program in the minibasket category will begin this coming weekend of November 25 and 26. It is one of the two programs, along with the sports technicalization program, that marks the beginning of the preparation of the men’s and women’s teams of Extremadura for the next Spanish Championship, which will be held during Holy Week 2024 in San Fernando. The PSyDT has the support of the General Directorate of Sports of the Government of Extremadura.

The PDyST programming will start this weekend with training on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th in Badajoz, Almendralejo, Mérida, Cáceres and Plasencia, and will continue on the weekends of December 2-3 and 16-17, and possibly December 13-17. January 14. The coordinators responsible for the training will be Javier Salas (female) and Marcel Sol (male), under the supervision of the FExB technical area. A total of 162 participants are expected to attend from all training areas, to which must be added the 36 participants who are already doing specific work on the technical training list.

The PDyST will have a Final Phase whose celebration is scheduled for January 28, and after whose development the list of the Extremaduran preselections will be formed.

We remember that access to these weekend PDyST training sessions is not free, and that to participate players must have been proposed by their teams of origin, through the form that was enabled for this purpose. All participants must have a valid license this season at the FExB and must complete the authorization for minors that we attach in the notice.

The specific information on training in each area has been sent to the clubs for pertinent information to families.
