Las Vegas Grand Prix: Spectacle or Disappointment?

The organization of the Las Vegas Grand Prix has received a lot of criticism in recent days. Max Verstappen, for example, stated that he is not a fan of the event. However, today’s race was a spectacle and according to Lewis Hamilton, all critics can now shut up again.

The hype prior to the race in Las Vegas was great. People were looking forward to the Grand Prix in the streets of Las Vegas. The drivers drove straight through the center of the city and the large casinos and hotels formed the backdrop to the race. The loose frame of a manhole cover caused many problems on the first day and Max Verstappen broke up the circus. Residents were also angry, because the race caused a lot of traffic disruption.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is a big fan of the event and all the show that goes with it. The Briton crossed the finish line in a disappointing seventh place, but in conversation with Sky Sports he took a swipe at all the critics: “The circuit has a lot of good places to overtake. I think everyone who was so negative about the weekend and everyone who complained about the show and all that blah blah blah has now been proven wrong.”
