Jesse Moncada, Raúl Benítez and Rodrigo de Oliveira scored the goals of Juticalpa’s victory against Parrills One at the Luis Girón stadium.
This weekend the first two first legs of the semifinal phase of the Apertura 2023 tournament of the National Ascenso League were played.
Juticalpa and Pirata had to leave home to face matches against Parrillas One in Lima and Independependiente in Siguatepeque.
On Saturday night, the “Panteras”, led by Wilmer Cruz, had to row against the current to tie it 2-2 at home. Kendrick Cárcamo opened the scoring in the first half for the locals, but the Pirate equalized through José Osorio in an acrobatic action.
In the second half the emotions continued after Nacaome’s team turned the score around through Christian Serrano. However, Anael Agurcia matched the cards for the final equality.

In the second match of the semifinals, Juticalpa gave the coup of authority after beating Parrillas One 1-3 at the Luis Girón stadium in La Lima.
Just 8 minutes into the match, Rodrigo de Oliveira took a violent right-footed shot that slipped into the lower right side of the grill team’s goal.
Seven minutes later, Raúl “El Pájaro” Benitez increased the advantage of the Canecheros to silence the home of Parrillas, who managed to score a goal in the 36th minute of the first half through Balanta.
The grillers looked for a tie in the second half, but Jesse Moncada, an old acquaintance from the National League, endorsed the third and final 1-3 in favor of Juticalpa, which will seek a place in the grand final at the Juan Ramón Brevé stadium.
