The national coach nominates striker Marvin Ducksch for the first time and explains what plan he has for the Bremen man. Julian Nagelsmann also reveals what thoughts he has about the goalkeeper position.

What about Manuel Neuer? That is the question that continues to be posed seven months before the first game of the European Football Championship in Germany. And that is probably the most sensitive question that national coach Julian Nagelsmann will have to find an answer to in the next few weeks and months. It may have even become a little more delicate since Neuer has been playing for FC Bayern again after breaking his tibia and fibula – and that’s quite good.

In the room where Nagelsmann sits and comments on his squad decision for the last two international matches of the year against Turkey (November 18th) and Austria (November 21st) for the digital channels of the German Football Association (DFB), it takes less time than three minutes until it comes to Neuer. But with a view to these games, the national coach and the goalkeeper agreed.
