The Detroit Lions are off, licking their wounds from a tough showing against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. And while those wounds still feel a bit fresh, that shouldn’t prevent us from enjoying some Sunday NFL football.
With three Thursday night games and the first ever Black Friday game, it’s a bit of a smaller slate of games than normal. And to be quite honest, it’s not the greatest set of games, either. The first six games in the early window don’t have a single true competitor among them. Easily the best matchup is Jaguars vs. Texans.
It gets better as the day goes on, however. Bills vs. Eagles is the marquee game in the late window with Browns vs. Broncos having some low-key appeal, as well.
If you’re wondering who to root for this week, check out our Week 12 Lions rooting guide.
Here’s today’s slate of games:
1 p.m. ET games
Saints at Falcons — FOX
Steelers at Bengals — CBS (local game in Detroit)
Panthers at Titans — FOX
Buccaneers at Colts — CBS
Patriots at Giants — FOX
Jaguars at Texans — CBS
4 p.m. ET games
Browns at Broncos (4:05) — FOX (local game in Detroit)
Rams at Cardinals (4:05) — FOX
Chiefs at Raiders (4:25) — CBS
Bills at Eagles (4:25) — CBS (local game in Detroit)
If you want to hang out with fellow Lions fans during this long Sunday of football, hang around this post and scroll down to the comment section below to chat. We’ll have a separate open thread for Ravens and Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
For now, enjoy the slate, and go Lions!
