Johan Derksen has canceled Cobelens in Today Inside guest, Derksen denies

According to Leon de Winter, Johan Derksen has ensured that Pieter Cobelens can no longer be seen in Today Inside. This was stated in a column earlier this week and was also discussed on Wednesday evening in the talk show. Although Cobelens has not been seen for a while, he has not been canceled, the story was denied.

De Winter writes in De Telegraaf that Derksen and associates at Today Inside do not describe the correct situation of how things are going in Israel. “This is about beheadings and rapes, about organizations that want to exterminate all Jews in the world, about European hatred of Jews and complex histories,” writes De Winter, who knows that Cobelens can no longer be seen in the talk show. Derksen denied that on Wednesday evening, René van der Gijp smiled that it was at the request of the girls from the editors, given the amount of make-up required.

“A few weeks ago, Derksen’s ignorance was punctured by regular guest Major General Retired Pieter Cobelens. Since then, Cobelens has been absent, apparently because Derksen felt humiliated and does not want to see him anymore,” De Winter continues. “Derksen knows nothing about the long, tragic history of the conflict, has never read a book about it, and does not realize that he is being manipulated. Maybe he doesn’t care about that either. He has started to sound like a Jew hater, and he pretends it doesn’t matter to him.”

René van der Gijp and Wilfred Genee also make mistakes on this subject, according to De Winter, but Derksen is tackled the hardest. “Derksen is guided by photos, videos and messages from Gaza that have not been verified. They cannot be verified as they come from the Hamas Information Service, which is a copy of Joseph Goebbels’ Ministry of Information and Propaganda.”
