Jason Pierre-Paul Makes NFL Comeback with Miami Dolphins

Veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has found himself a job in the NFL.

According to ESPN, the Miami Dolphins have offered a contract to the former first-round pick of the New York Giants. After the injury that will cost Jaelan Phillips the rest of the season, Miami needed reinforcement before the playoffs.

At 34, Pierre-Paul has only played one game this season for the Saints, when he was primarily a member of the team’s practice unit.

After eight seasons with the Giants, “JPP” also wore the uniform of the Bucs and Ravens.

The 15th pick in the 2010 draft, Pierre-Paul’s star career was derailed following a fireworks accident that ultimately cost him the index finger of his right hand as well as portions of the other fingers. He still had good seasons, with the Bucs in particular, after a few campaigns of adaptation to his new physical reality.

He has 94.5 sacks in 14 seasons in the NFL. He will have the mandate to make up for the loss of the Dolphins leader in this regard this season.

A South Florida native, Pierre-Paul posted on his social media that he was “coming home” after making the difficult decision to leave the Saints organization.
