SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS.- The representation of the Jackeline Estévez area won the thirty-third San Vicente sports games, successfully completed in this city with the participation of more than a thousand athletes from some 16 sports disciplines in the option of the great municipal mayor’s cup.
On his side, second place went to the Manuel Emilio López zone with 140 points, dominating the first places in women’s volleyball, men’s U16 basketball, women’s U12 basketball, women’s freestyle basketball, women’s handball, men’s softball, men’s volleyball, and men’s chess.
ZONE SIXTO PAULINO ACHIEVED THIRD PLACE
For its part, the Sixto Paulino zone achieved third place with 120 points, winning first places in the disciplines of men’s U20 basketball, Olympic wrestling, boxing, men’s volleyball, women’s soccer and U16 women’s basketball.
The green teams representing the Pedro Emilio Reyes area settled for fourth place in the successful sporting event after winning in the disciplines of cycling, men’s soccer, men’s children’s baseball, men’s mini basketball and board.
THE COMPETITIONS WERE WELL FIGHTED
From the beginning to the end of the competitions of the different sports disciplines they were quite close, having to wait for the last dates of the busy event to define the champion of the traditional games, which in this version has a special dedication to the national director of the INEFI Alberto Rodríguez and the Dominican Seaboard company.
The awards for the most outstanding athletes and areas will be held this Saturday, November 25, in the assembly hall of the honorable municipal town hall, starting at four in the afternoon.
The awards will be supported by the Ministry of Sports on instructions from the Minister of Sports Francisco Camacho, by the prestigious company Seaboard Energía, the municipal mayor’s office, Ingeniero Olmedo Caba Romano, Agua María, Fe Malta Foundation, Cooperativa San Rafael of the municipality of Tenares, the councilor Karilyn Chabebe and the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI).
