Italy: Benjamin Pavard injured in the knee, concern for the French team

Didier Deschamps definitely has no luck with his defenders. While he must give a new list for the next meeting in five days, the French coach will not be able to count on Benjamin Pavard against Gibraltar (November 18) and Greece (November 21), for the Euro qualifiers, even if the Blues have already validated their ticket for Germany.

Half an hour into the clash between Atalanta Bergamo and Inter Milan, the defender was hit by Ademola Lookman during a duel in his penalty area and writhed in pain on the ground while holding the left knee. The trainers entered the pitch with a stretcher and immediately requested a change. Initially placed on the stretcher, he finally left the field limping and grimacing to make way for Matteo Darmian (34th).

For the moment, Inter Milan has not communicated on the nature, nor the duration, of the injury of the French international (52 caps). He should certainly undergo additional examinations in the coming days. Free leaving Bayern Munich this summer, Pavard signed up with Inter Milan like his friend in the selection, Marcus Thuram. He has played nine matches in his new colors since the start of the season.
