San Luis Potosí, SLP.- The Potosino Institute of Physical Culture and Sports (Inpode) coordinates a billboard of tournaments, competitions and activities on the occasion of the Xantolo festivities in 13 municipalities of the Huasteca region, in disciplines such as athletic races, night rides , soccer, basketball and handball tournaments, among others.
The head of the state agency, Joaquín García Martínez, said that the instruction is to bring the practice of sport to every corner of the State, so, with the implementation of the “Xantolo Deportivo”, a broad program that promotes physical activity in support for the physical and emotional health, especially of girls, boys and adolescents.
The activities of this program, which total close to 100, have been carried out since the weekend in Ciudad Valles, Xilitla, Tanlajás, Ébano, San Martín Chalchicuautla, Aquismón, Axtla de Terrazas, Tamazunchale, Tancanhuitz, Matlapa, Tamuín and Coxcatlán.
The complete program of activities includes soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball tournaments, athletics competitions, Zumba, chess, indoor soccer, physical activation, badminton, cycling, taekwondo, wrestling and calisthenics, all carried out in coordination between Inpode and the different municipal sports directorates.
