He is currently the biggest star at 1. FC Nürnberg, even though he doesn’t even play for the professionals.
Influencer Niklas-Wilson Sommer (25/a total of 3 million followers on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Twitch) has been playing for the FCN U23 in the Bavarian Regional League since September. The right-back played for the club’s youth team from 2007 to 2017.

Sommer recently revealed an interesting story from this time in his live stream. In November 2015, the ex-U16 national player had a dispute with current national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36/then U19 coach in Hoffenheim)!

Summer: “U19, floodlights, Nuremberg against Hoffenheim. We led. In the last few minutes they ran towards our goal and what Niklas Sommer was like: sprinted after them and made an emergency stop – straight red. I went out and Julian Nagelsmann said something to me. Then I told him to shut up.”
The club U19 won 2-1. The situation surrounding Sommer’s foul quickly calmed down again, which was also due to the then FCN coach Pellegrino Matarazzo (45/now Bundesliga coach in Hoffenheim). Sommer: “That wasn’t meant in a bad way, but in the heat of the moment. A shut-up in football is a different shut-up than one on the street. Everyone signs that, right? But then I also apologized. I had to because he and Rino Matarazzo got along really well and my coach told me that was disrespectful.”

Interesting: Sommer and Nagelsmann’s paths crossed again. A year and a half ago, the social media star interviewed the then Bayern coach for Amazon Prime Video. Both obviously got along well. The altercation from the U19 game was not addressed. Summer: “Thank God not.”
