Summer: “U19, floodlights, Nuremberg against Hoffenheim. We led. In the last few minutes they ran towards our goal and what Niklas Sommer was like: sprinted after them and made an emergency stop – straight red. I went out and Julian Nagelsmann said something to me. Then I told him to shut up.”
The club U19 won 2-1. The situation surrounding Sommer’s foul quickly calmed down again, which was also due to the then FCN coach Pellegrino Matarazzo (45/now Bundesliga coach in Hoffenheim).
