The five Indonesian men’s doubles players fell one by one and now there are no players left China Masters 2023. They are said to still have problems with self-confidence.
This was said by Aryono Miranat, coach of the Indonesian men’s doubles sector, after the five Red and White representatives in that number suffered defeat at the 2023 China Masters which took place on November 21.
Fifth in men’s doubles at the event China Masters 2023 namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Rambitan, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, and Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan.
Of the five pairs, not one was able to advance to the semifinals. Their best result was only reaching the quarterfinals through Pram/Yere and Leo/Daniel. Meanwhile, the other three men’s doubles were eliminated first.
Of course, this is not the result that was expected considering that the men’s doubles had progressed in several recent tournaments. But once again the problem of self-confidence has become an evaluation of the men’s doubles failure again.
“In general, the performance of the men’s doubles players in the tournament China Masters 2023 “It goes back to the issue of player confidence which needs to be improved,” said Aryono in a quick quote from PBSI, Saturday (25/11/2023).
“This has a direct impact on the player’s performance. In one match, self-confidence can be good. But in the next match it decreases. From this unstable self-confidence, the consistency of his performance on the field can also be unstable. It can be good, it can also be less good. ” he said.
“For this reason, what needs to be improved further is his self-confidence. Apart from that, the defense is actually good, but it is still not tight enough. This is what must be improved,” he added.
Aryono also highlighted unforced error the players who need to be reduced. Again, this mistake occurred because of inconsistent self-confidence when playing on the field. “That’s what makes game control and composure unstable. These are the shortcomings that need to be improved.”
