Fabio Grosso speaks again. The 2006 world champion, now coach of Lyon, was hit by some stones thrown at the Olympique bus by Marseille fans on Sunday evening. The former full-back underwent treatment inside the Velodrome and received 12 stitches, with the match being postponed.

«What happened on Sunday evening could have been a tragedy, and it certainly was for sport and for all those who love it», wrote Grosso on his Instaram profile, «I hope with all my heart that it can be a lesson for our future”.

The Lyon coach then concluded with thanks to the many messages of solidarity that have arrived in recent days: «Thank you all for your support and closeness. Allez l’Ol… toujours!».
