Harry Kane’s Regret Over German Decision and Hope for English Recruitment

As Bayern superstar Harry Kane revealed in an interview with ESPN, he very much regrets his teammate’s decision: “He’s actually English, but as is well known, he decided to play for Germany (…). I would have thought it would have been better if he had chosen England instead of Germany.”

Kane was asked which German player he would like to recruit for the England senior national team – and consequently chose Musiala, who for him is “a fantastic player, a great guy”.

The Bayern youngster was born in Stuttgart, but spent large parts of his childhood in England. In his youth, Musiala played for Southampton and Chelsea FC, among others.

In the humorous conversation, Kane also revealed that he thought Alphonso Davies was a suitable candidate for the “Jungle Camp” (RTL) and that, in his view, Serge Gnabry was the biggest joker at FC Bayern. His childhood idol, Kane said, was David Beckham – the English icon came from the same area and went to the same school as him.
