Haaland with a new record – sport.ORF.at

Erling Haaland made football history again with his goal in Manchester City’s 3-2 win against RB Leipzig. It was the 40th goal in the Champions League for the 23-year-old Norwegian. Haaland needed 35 games to do this. Ten less than former Dutch player Ruud van Nistelrooy, the previous record holder.

He scored most of the goals in the Manchester City jersey – including the 1-2 win against Leipzig in the 54th minute. Haaland scored a total of 17 times for City in the Champions League. There are also 15 goals for Borussia Dortmund and eight for Red Bull Salzburg.
