Gražulis won against Blumberg; Success for Meyer against “Lietkabelis”

Trento “Aquila” represented by Gražulis defeated Thessaloniki “Aris” with 69:67 (17:17, 15:15, 21:11, 16:24).

Gražulis hit two of seven two-point shots and two of six long-range shots in 23 minutes and 33 seconds spent on the field, but missed both free throws. He also had seven sacks, one fumble, two forced fouls, an efficiency rating of seven and a +/- of +1.

Blumbergs made one of two two-point shots in 15 minutes and 36 seconds, but missed three long shots. He also had five rebounds, a steal, a personal best, an efficiency rating of two and a +/- of -5.

Gražulis and two other basketball players scored 10 points each, but Kemar Baldwin was the top scorer in Trento’s team with 15 points and six rebounds.

Herel Roney stood out for the visitors with 24 points and rebounds.

Marek Mejeris also scored two points in the victory of “U-Banca Transilvania” of Cluj-Napoca in overtime at home in the match with “Lietkabelis” of Panevėžys – 120:111 (21:23, 23:13, 30:23, 23:38, 23:14).

In group A, the Riga-based Ukrainian team “Prometey” of Slobojansk lost 76:79 (26:15, 15:18, 20:29, 15:17) to “Joventut” of Badalona.

Ronald March and Isuf Sanon scored 15 points each for “Prometey”, while Caleb Agada and Ondrej Balvins scored 12 points each, who also had 12 rebounds.

Andrew Andrews, who started his career as a member of “VEF Riga”, scored 15 points for the home team, Pau Rivas scored a point less.

In Group A, Vilnius “Wolves” represented by Artūrs Žagar are fifth with four wins in eight matches, while “Prometey” is in eighth place with the same number of wins in nine matches.

This season, the playoff in the Eurocup playoffs has been changed. “Play-off” will reach the six best teams of each subgroup, the winners of the first and second places will immediately secure a place in the quarter-finals, while the other teams will first play the matches of the round of 16.
