Giada Fallani Wins Gold at Italian Master Championships 2023

Prato, 29 November 2023 – Great satisfaction for Giada Fallani, who on the occasion of the fifth edition of the Italian Master Championships held in Follonica won the gold medal in the F4/F8 age group, 63 kg category, thus winning the title of Italian Ladies champion 2023 and the the coveted Black Belt at the end of a hard-fought race but where the athlete from Prato was ready to respond to her opponent’s attacks. After an uphill start, Fallani managed to win the final race before the limit like the previous meetings.

Podium also for one of the other two athletes competing for theUniverse Judo Club Pratoor Fabio Santini, who in the M6/M8 age group achieved bronze in the 81 kg category, while Marco Marcheselli, in the M3/M4 age group, 66 kg category, remained at the foot of the podium. Also in Follonica, the winners of the 2022 Gran Prix Italia were awarded. In the M6/M8 age group, Santini, dominator of the 81 kg category, lifted the trophy. The performances of the Prato referees were also excellent Gregory Rossi e Giuseppe Broccolo, the latter also called up for the final of the Absolute Championships, which will take place on 9 and 10 December in Ostia. “Judo is a discipline that has had many problems as a result of Covid but is now recovering, albeit with difficulty – explains the master Beppe Macrì – our association confirms itself at excellent levels among the masters and in the refereeing sector and through these instructors we aim to build a group of kids who want to follow this sport”.
