Almost everyone in the Bundesliga has known him since his smash hit in the Olympic Stadium: Ferdi Kadıoğlu (24) scored spectacularly to make it 1-1 for Turkey in the DFB team’s 2-3 international defeat almost two weeks ago.

Borussia Dortmund has targeted Turkey star Kadıoğlu as a winter transfer!
BVB has been looking for a strong full-back for a long time and would ideally like to report the deal before the second half of the season. Kadıoğlu fits the profile, the right-footer from Fenerbahçe Istanbul can play on both sides.
By the way, Kadıoğlu was born and educated in Holland.

Background for BVB’s interest in the 15-time Turkish national player: BVB has not yet been able to adequately compensate for the departure of Raphaël Guerreiro (29) last summer to title rivals Bayern. The technically highly experienced Portuguese often acted as a disguised playmaker on the left and new signing Ramy Bensebaini (28/free transfer from Gladbach) has so far delivered inconsistent performances. Fighter Julian Ryerson (26) meets expectations – but even with him and ex-national player Marius Wolf (28), Dortmund does not have the desired top quality in the outside positions.

Problem with a possible Kadıoğlu transfer: His contract with Fenerbahçe runs until 2026 and the club bosses are demanding a transfer fee of up to 30 million euros. Too much for BVB, for whom initially only a loan deal would be possible.
However, an early farewell to reservist Thomas Meunier (32) could free up the budget. The unused right-back is currently burdening the club with a mega salary of up to nine million per season.
