Unlimited battery

Thanks to the solar charging technology developed by Garmin, eTrex Solar allows you to rely on a high-performance device for even longer without worrying about the battery. It is no longer necessary to plan your outing considering the availability of charging spots: the sun will take care of it. Solar energy technology not only allows you to always maintain a good level of autonomy, but can also power a largely discharged battery.

Even without integrated solar charging, eTrex Solar provides up to 1800 hours in Expedition mode.

Updates with Garmin Explore

When paired via Bluetooth with a compatible smartphone, eTrex Solar interfaces with the Garmin Explore app to always stay connected and access various useful tools for your trip.

Thanks to Garmin Explore’s cloud availability, you can use unlimited storage space to make it easy to catalog, save and share all your mapping and trip data.

eTrex Solar allows you to always stay connected thanks to smart notifications from social media, call alerts and much more.
For lovers of georeferenced treasure hunting, Geocaching Live is the feature that automatically updates geocache points, including descriptions, logs and suggestions. When connected to the app, each search will immediately load into a saved profile.

Before setting off on a hike, it is crucial to make sure you are aware of and stay up to date on the weather conditions you may encounter along the way. For this reason, eTrex Solar has weather forecasts, to know the trend of weather conditions live.
