During the past few days the Galician players traveled to Ibiza to compete in a new international tournament. On behalf of our community, Lucía Rodríguez, Jacobo Fernández, Nikol Carulla and Rodrigo Sanjurjo were the representatives of Galician badminton.
The results were more than brilliant for us, highlighting the great performance of Lucía Rodriguez from Neve who returned with two gold medals, corresponding to the mixed doubles and women’s doubles modalities with Paula López and Rubén García as companions in the great role they played to be able achieve both victories.
The Cb Cíes player, Jacobo Fernández, won silver in mixed doubles alongside Paula López, thus adding the third Galician metal and demonstrating a great level in a final where two Galicians faced each other, a dream come true for this federation.
Finally, the shuttlers of Badminton As Pontes, Rodrigo Sanjurjo and Nikol Carulla, would fight until the end but would remain on the podium in the categories they contested.
