As part of the first Integrity Day for Austrian sport, the Federal Ministry for Art, Culture, Public Service and Sport presented a new funding program on Monday. The “Good Governance” program is endowed with 500,000 euros for each of the next three years. This means that professional associations can receive up to 60,000 euros per year in additional funding.
The program aims to raise awareness among Austrian sports organizations in the areas of transparency, democratic processes, anti-discrimination, protection from violence, integrity and sustainability, among other things. “Sport sets an example when it comes to integrity and fairness. There is still enough to do,” explained Sports Minister Werner Kogler.
