Frenkie de Jong and his girlfriend Mikky Kiemeney have become parents. Kiemeney gave birth to a son last Tuesday. The footballer’s father announced this on Monday Radio 538.

Spanish sports media already suspected last week that De Jong had become a father. He did not appear at a training of his club FC Barcelona.

De Jong’s father said on the radio that Kiemeney and the child are doing well. He has not yet revealed the boy’s name.

26-year-old De Jong and his 25-year-old girlfriend have been a couple since their high school days. The two got engaged in 2022. In July this year they announced that they were expecting a child.

De Jong has been playing for FC Barcelona since the summer of 2019. The 54-time Dutch international came over from Ajax, with whom he became national champion and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Kiemeney moved to Barcelona. She has her own clothing line and is an influencer, with 1.7 million followers on Instagram.
