French team: victim of a dislocated patella, Benjamin Pavard will be absent from the next list

An injury that comes at a bad time. After his double and a very solid performance as central defender against Scotland (4-1, October 17), Benjamin Pavard will not continue his good momentum in Blue during the next gathering of the French team, on Monday November 13. The former Bayern Munich player, who now plays for Inter Milan, suffered violent contact with the knee during the match against Atalanta Bergamo (2-1, Saturday).

Taken out on a stretcher after taking a few steps, the Northerner underwent initial examinations which revealed a dislocation of the kneecap according to Italian sources. As a result, he should be away from the field for several weeks and will, in fact, miss the international matches against Gibraltar (November 18) and Greece (21) in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, a competition for which France is , already qualified. New examinations will be carried out this Monday to refine the diagnosis and determine more precisely the duration of his unavailability.

To replace him, Didier Deschamps has many solutions for this position. Absent from the last rally due to a toe problem, William Saliba continues the matches, just like Ax Disasi for Chelsea. Jean-Clair Todibo leaves a long time late, which the controversy surrounding his “nervous laughter” during a minute of silence might not help.
