Yoo Yeon-soo, a former national badminton team member, is under police investigation on charges of attempting to sexually assault a woman.
Incheon Yeonsu Police Station is investigating Mr. Yoo, a badminton coach, without detention on charges of attempted rape.
It is known that Mr. Yoo was arrested in the United States last July on charges of attempting to sexually assault a Korean woman, Mr. A, and was later released on bail and returned to Korea.
Afterwards, the victim filed a complaint against Mr. Yoo to the Korean police.
The police forwarded Mr. Yoo with a recommendation for indictment on the 23rd of last month, but the prosecution requested an additional investigation and is conducting an additional investigation.
