Como has made official the dismissal of its coach, Moreno Longo. Spaniard Cesc Fàbregas, currently at the helm of the Primavera, has been promoted in his place on an interim basis. The Como club announced it in a note. Como won 1-0 in Ascoli on Saturday, in the 13th matchday of Serie B, and are sixth in the standings “The search for a new coach begins immediately, with Cesc Fàbregas and the coaching staff taking on the duties on an interim basis – reads the note – After several months of strategic planning, the Como 1907 board decided that a dynamic change was in the club’s interest.”
“Longo joined Como in September 2022 and helped the team avoid relegation, finishing in 13th place last season. Cesc Fàbregas, who currently coaches the Como 1907 Primavera, will have his first training session on Wednesday morning,” the club continues.
“We thank Moreno Longo for his hard work and dedication, especially for managing the team after a difficult period last season. However, we want to embark on a new path which we hope will give greater emotions and fun to the Como fans and beyond.
