Las federations of Table Tennis, Mountaineering, Water Skiing, Athletics, Rugby, Field Hockey, Basketball, Tennis, Water Sports, Handball, Volleyball, Archery, Baseball and Softball, Target Shooting and Taekwondo thanked the President Gabriel Boric the contribution of the State in the “indisputable success” of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023.
“The signatories through this open letter wish to express to you through this open letter the most sincere feelings of gratitude and recognition for the commitment shown by the Government that you lead, those of your predecessors and that of all the members of the State of Chile for the undisputed success of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games,” they indicate.
“First, for the first-class infrastructure that the Chile Stadium has decided to develop as well as the fruits of the Olympic and sports action plan that all administrations without distinction and as a State policy decided to promote,” they say.
Subsequently, they highlight the “massive, happy and enthusiastic attendance and support of the citizens of our beloved country for Pan American sport.”
“But we are going for more. What has been achieved becomes a new base from which we can only grow. And to do this, we ask that the Federations that we represent be the ones called to train the athletes who will generate the medals of the future, because we have already shown that we can do things well,” the letter states.
In the letter, the signatories of the federations request that they be empowered “with the administration of Pan-American as well as Para-Pan American infrastructure and equipment with a financing base secured with a specific mention in the Nation’s budget. “We have the knowledge, the technicians, the enthusiasm and the dream to continue growing.”
“We rely on you to prolong these successful Stadium policies and the implementation of the Olympic Plan. We are convinced that we can multiply the joy of these weeks through bull sport in Chile,” they closed.
