FC Bayern, News: João Palhinha calls failed FCB move “chance of a lifetime”

João Palhinha from FC Fulham described the possible move to FC Bayern Munich last summer as the “opportunity of a lifetime”. Shortly before the end of the transfer period, FCB wanted to bring in the Portuguese as a reinforcement for the defensive midfield, but the deal fell through in the final stretch.

“I can’t lie: it was the opportunity of a lifetime that came to me,” Palhinha said on the ‘Fulham Fix’ podcast. “When something like Bayern happens in your life, you can’t think of anything else,” he added.

However, the 28-year-old has come to terms with the missed opportunity – and secretly hopes that Bayern’s interest will flare up. “I don’t know if this will happen again or not,” he admitted. “I just want to do my job, like I’ve done so far,” he added, adding: “What’s supposed to happen will happen.”

FC Bayern, rumor: FCB fears because of Sané’s performance explosion

Leroy Sané is one of the best Bayern players of the current season, but the German record champions are said to be concerned that the increase in performance has to do with the fact that the winger wants to have better chances for a lucrative move abroad. That reports ran.

Sané’s contract with FC Bayern expires in 2025, and next summer he wants to make the fundamental decision whether he will stay in Munich long-term or move abroad again after his time at Manchester City.

The good performances are now said to have caused Bayern to fear that Sané wants to play his way onto the wish lists of the top international clubs – just like the fact that Sané has been much more open in his dealings with the media and journalists in recent weeks.

FC Bayern, News: No new agreement with Nagelsmann

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has denied that he has already spoken specifically with national coach Julian Nagelsmann about his return to the national team next March. “There is no agreement now,” said the FC Bayern captain after the 0-0 draw in the Champions League against FC Copenhagen, but emphasized: “I am in good communication with my goalkeeping coach in the national team as well as with Julian, and we “Everyone assumes that I’ll be there if everything goes normally.”

Neuer did not want his three brilliant saves in the 87th minute, with which he saved Munich from defeat, to be seen as a letter of application to Nagelsmann. “He knows me, he’s seen something like that before in training and also in games,” said the 37-year-old and emphasized: “So I’m very calm about March.”

However, the opponents for the first international matches in the European Championship year 2024 have not yet been determined. Duels with the Netherlands in Frankfurt and France in Lyon are being discussed for March. (SID)

FC Bayern, News: Neuer beckons with a plea for Müller – the 2025 final

After extending his contract with Bayern Munich, captain Manuel Neuer made a plea for further collaboration with Thomas Müller. “Thomas simply belongs to Bayern Munich,” said the goalkeeper after the 0-0 draw in the Champions League against FC Copenhagen.

“And they also know and appreciate his class,” added Neuer (37): “I assume that it also works when Thomas speaks to Bayern and Bayern speaks to Thomas.”

So, Mr. Müller, will you also extend your contract until 2025? “I have no idea,” said the 34-year-old and put on his poker face. But then he let himself take a look at his cards.

He admitted that the “final at home” in the premier class in a year and a half was “absolutely an argument” for another year in Munich and “a little decoy, no question about it.”

Müller showed understanding for trainer Thomas Tuchel’s recent statements that it doesn’t help anyone to keep putting the noble joker’s situation under the microscope. “I understand that it’s annoying for him when the same questions keep coming.”

Tuchel has to make decisions as a coach. However, Müller said, “everyone at FC Bayern has to accept that questions come up that might not suit you.” (SID)
