European Nations League 2024: Final Tournament Participants Secured and Playoff Games Ahead

In addition to the host country, Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Turkey, Austria, England, Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Denmark, Romania, Switzerland, Netherlands, Serbia, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia secured their place in the final tournament. Three more participants of the final tournament will be determined in March 2024 in the “play-off” games of Leagues A, B and C of the Nations League.

In the final match of the qualification cycle, Croatian footballers defeated Armenia with a score of 1:0 (1:0) in Zagreb.

The only goal was scored in the 43rd minute, when Ante Budimirs headed accurately in the penalty area after a pass from Born Sos.

In the other game of this group, Wales drew 1-1 (1-0) with Turkey at home.

In the seventh minute, Neko Williams scored a goal for the Welsh, but in the 70th minute, Yusuf Yazidzi made it 1:1 with a penalty kick.

In subgroup D, Turkey earned 17 points, Croatia had 16 points, Wales scored 12 points, Armenia – eight and Latvia – three.

In subgroup B, a convincing victory was celebrated by the Netherlands, who defeated the players of Gibraltar with a score of 6:0 (3:0). Kalvin Stengs scored three goals for the Dutch, while Mats Wiefer, Ten Koopmeiners and Cody Gakpo beat the opponents once.

Also in this subgroup, Greece played a 2:2 (0:1) draw with France at home. From the 24th minute, France was in the lead after a kick by Randal Kolo Muani, in the 56th and 61st minutes, Anastasis Bakasets and Fotis Yannidis scored for the Greeks, and in the 74th minute, Yusuf Fofanas made it 2:2.
