European Championships 2024, the qualifiers: Israel will play its home matches in Hungary

Italy loses against England and goes -3 behind Ukraine, but with a match in hand. The English are flying to Euro 2024 and there are other official verdicts: Austria, Turkey, Spain and Scotland have obtained the pass for Euro 2024 and join France, Belgium and Portugal, as well as Germany, the host country. HOW QUALIFICATIONS WORK

23 national teams will join hosts Germany in the 24-team European Championship finals The top 20 places will be decided by the qualifying group stage The top two in each group will go to Germany The remaining three places will go to the play-off winners (linked to Nations League results)

HOW THE PLAY-OFFS WORK

Twelve teams will be selected based on their performances in the 2022-23 Nations League. These are the group winners of leagues A, B and C, but if they have already qualified, then they will be replaced by the next best placed team in their league. If there are not enough non-qualified teams in the same league, they move on to the next league , up to League D. Three distinct paths will thus be created with semi-finals and finals which will lead 3 other national teams to the European Championship
