It was already clear before the match day: Spain would be there in Germany. But in Group A, the southern Europeans are still aiming for an important group win in the long-distance duel with Scotland.
A very special debutant is helping against Cyprus: Leverkusen left-back Alejandro Grimaldo (28) was recently called up to the Spain squad for the first time – and can start straight away. “I’ve been waiting for this for a long time and working for it. It’s been a dream for me since I was little to play for the national team. I’m happy and excited,” said the debutant.
And he prepared the 2-0 directly from his side for Mikel Oyarzabal (22nd) – dream debut!
Before that, he sees an early lead through Barça jewel Lamine Yamal (16). The winger gets the ball in the penalty area, lets two opposing players slip into space and scores to make it 1-0.

Estonia – Austria 0:2
Eight of eleven players play in the Austria starting eleven in the Bundesliga. The usual recipe helps, coach Ralf Rangnick’s (65) team won 2-0 against Estonia. Bayern star Konrad Laimer (26th) and Freiburg’s defense chief Philipp Lienhart (40th) provide the goals.
It was already clear before the game: Austria qualified together with Belgium in Group F, only the fight for group victory is still open.
With the win, Austria is now ahead, Belgium has the chance to regain first place against Azerbaijan on Sunday (6 p.m.).
