Dramatic Fifth Date of Champions League: Inter, Real Madrid, and Manchester United on the Edge

The fifth date of the Champions League closes

After yesterday’s matchday, in which teams such as Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, among others, achieved their qualification, this Wednesday the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League closes with Inter, Real Madrid and Manchester United as protagonists of the most outstanding duels.

Dutch coach Erik Ten Hag’s team drew 3-3 against Galatasaray and was on the brink of elimination. The thing is that the English team accumulates just 4 points, the same as Copenhagen and one less than the Turkish team, with the detail that their next and last rival will be Bayern Munich, absolute leader with 12. That is to say that if the Danish team wins against the German team, the Red Devils will be left out.

The Inter of Lautaro Martínez and company, meanwhile, obtained the pass to the second round last date but will now seek to finish as leader of Group D. The Italians share the lead with Real Sociedad and will have to beat Benfica in Portugal to maintain the lead , as long as the Spanish do not go beyond a draw against RB Salzburg.

The hottest duel of the day will be between Real Madrid and Napoli. The meringues, leaders with 12 units, will host Walter Mazzarri’s team, who with a victory will secure a place in the next round of playoffs.
