The 49er sailors Keanu Prettner/Jakob Flachberger and Benjamin Bildstein/David Hussl took an Austrian double lead in the adjusted European Championship standings at the regatta in front of Vilamoura/Portugal.
Both duos achieved victory in the three light wind races held in different fleets on Thursday. Further qualification races follow on Friday before the top 25 go to the gold fleet.
In the Nacra 17 class, Lukas Haberl/Tanja Frank are in tenth place, immediately ahead of Laura Farese/Matthäus Zöchling.
