Viterbo – Domus Mulieris immediately resumes its march and, in the eighth round of the first round of the women’s basketball series B championship, beats the Virtus Albano-Pavona team at the PalaMalè with a score of 70-46.
The match was always in the hands of the yellow-blue girls, called upon to make up for the defeat of the previous week against Virtus Aprilia which had interrupted a streak of three successes in a row. With great character and concentration, Domus Mulieris runs away from the first quarter, relying on a good circulation of the ball in attack which leads to high percentage conclusions from very long distance, in particular with Arianna Puggioni and Masnata, and on a notable defensive application which prevents guests from finding their way to the basket.
After about half of the first half, the scoreboard reads 17-2 for the Viterbo team who seem to be able to manage the guests’ response attempts without excessive effort. In the second period the percentages drop on both sides and the two coaches are forced to call timeout to try to reorganize their ideas. We return to the locker room with Domus Mulieris ahead by 14 points (33-19) and in control of the match, so much so that the second half passes by without any particular jolts despite the guests trying in every way to get back into the game.
In the final there is room for all the young players on the bench and Domus Mulieris still manages to increase the gap up to +24 at the siren which gives the Viterbo team their fourth victory of the season out of eight matches played. In the next round the first round will close with the difficult away match on the Esquilino parquet, a team that is currently in fourth place in the standings with two points more than the Viterbo team
