SC Freiburg – FC Paderborn 1:3 (0:2)

SC Freiburg was surprisingly knocked out of the DFB Cup. With a final score of 1:3 (0:2), Freiburg lost to second division team SC Paderborn. Florent Muslija (18th/33rd) and Filip Bilbija (56th) gave Paderborn a 3-0 lead. Maximilian Eggestein (70th) at least managed to score the next goal for weak Freiburg.

Borussia Dortmund – TSG Hoffenheim 1:0 (1:0)

BVB won against league rivals TSG Hoffenheim 1-0 (1-0) just a few days before the Bundesliga top game on Saturday against FC Bayern. In the 43rd minute, Marco Reus (43rd minute) scored the winning goal for Dortmund, who had been superior for a long time.

SV Sandhausen – Bayer Leverkusen 2:5 (0:1)

Bundesliga table leaders Leverkusen won 5:2 (1:0) against SV Sandhausen thanks to late goals. Thanks to a converted penalty kick by Exequiel Palacios (21st), Leverkusen took the lead. After the break, Christoph Ehlich (50′) equalized for the hosts, and four minutes later Jonathan Tah (54′) put Bayer back in the lead. Just three minutes later, Yassin Ben Balla (57th) equalized again for SV Sandhausen. In the end, however, Bayer prevailed. Adam Hlozek (85th) and Amine Adli (88th/90th + 2) scored three goals.
