Defenders shine, Dell does it all as Cougars excel in NFL

HOUSTON – Eight Houston Football alumni saw action in Week 8 of the NFL campaign with Ed Oliver, Elandon Roberts and Tank Dell shining on the biggest stage.
Matthew Adams | Cleveland Browns | L, 24-20 at Seattle
Recorded a pair of special teams tackles over his 22 special teams snaps played.
Kyle Allen | Buffalo Bills | W, 24-18 vs Tampa Bay
Tyus Bowser | Baltimore Ravens | W, 31-24 at Arizona
Tank Dell | Houston Texans | W, 15-13 vs Houston
In a return to action after missing a week due to concussion and a bye week, Dell made just about every possible play. He hauled in three catches for 16 yards, tallied three rushes for another 15 yards and returned three punts for 25 total yards. His longest play from scrimmage was an 11 yard rush and he returned one of his punts for 20 yards.

Logan Hall | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | L, 24-18 at Buffalo
Played 18 defensive snaps off the bench and four special teams snaps. Did not record a stat.
Josh Jones | Houston Texans | W, 15-13 vs Houston
Played four offensive snaps and one special teams snap on the line.
Marcus Jones | New England Patriots | L, 31-17 at Miami
Case Keenum | Houston Texans | W, 15-13 vs Houston
Donovan Mutin | Atlanta Falcons | Practice Squad
Ed Oliver | Buffalo Bills | W, 24-18 vs Tampa Bay
Started at defensive tackle yet again and tallied a sack in his fourth-straight game played after missing Week 6 and Week 7. His sack tied his single season-high of five set during his 2019 rookie season. Oliver finished the game with two tackles and a QB hurry.
Gervarrius Owens | New York Giants | L, 13-10 at New York Jets
Elandon Roberts | Pittsburgh Steelers | L, 20-1 vs Jacksonville
Started at right-inside linebacker, leading the team with 1.5 sacks while recording the third-most tackles on the team with five. Roberts also recorded two QB hurries over his 31 defensive snaps. The linebacker also played on 10 special teams snaps.
Kody Russey | New England Patriots | Practice Squad
Grant Stuard | Indianapolis Colts | L, 38-27 vs New Orleans
Made one special teams tackle over his 25 snaps, all on special teams.
Clayton Tune | Arizona Cardinals | L, 31-24 vs Baltimore
Nick Thurman | Carolina Panthers | W, 15-13 vs Houston
Coming off the bye week, recorded one tackle on defense. Played 20 defensive snaps and one special teams snap.
Payton Turner | New Orleans Saints | W, 38-27 at Indianapolis
Greg Ward Jr. | Philadelphia Eagles | Practice Squad
Damarion Williams | Baltimore Ravens | W, 31-24 at Arizona
