Croatia will take part in the tournament in Germany in 2024

Croatia has qualified for the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany. The third place in the World Cup completed qualification on the last matchday in Group D with a 1-0 (1-0) win against Armenia in Zagreb. Ante Budimir scored after a cross from former Stuttgart player Borna Sosa (43′).

Wales could have pushed the team around former world footballer Luka Modric out of second place if they made a mistake, but the British, for their part, couldn’t get past a 1-1 (1-0) draw against Turkey, who had already qualified, in Cardiff. The Welsh will have another chance in the play-offs in March.

Things were no longer too explosive in the other groups. The Netherlands, which will also be taking part in the finals next year (June 14th to July 14th), won against hosts Gibraltar 6-0 (3-0) in Faro (Portugal). Calvin Stengs (10th, 50th, 62nd) from Feyenoord Rotterdam scored three times.

France took it easy in Greece with a 2-2 (1-0) draw, with former Frankfurt player Randal Kolo Muani (42nd) and Youssouf Fofana (74th) successful for the “Equipe Tricolore”. The game between Romania and Switzerland, who have already qualified for the finals in July 2024, ended 1-0 (0-0) in Bucharest. Denis Alibec scored the goal of the day (50th).
