The state club team championship for the U13 age group took place on Saturday, November 18th, 2023. 8 male and 3 female teams made the journey to Oelsnitz in Vogtland.
The young judoka fought for the coveted podium places in 7 weight classes each. In the male teams, the teams from Judokan Schkeuditz, Judo Holzhausen, Judoclub Leipzig, Leipziger Sportlöwen, PSV Leipzig, Chemnitzer PSC and JV Ippon Rodewisch fought in the preliminary round. In reaching the final, the CPSC was able to defeat the JV Ippon Rodewisch, just as the JC Leipzig was able to win against the Leipziger Sportlöwen. In the end, the boys from the CPSC and the JCL fought a very exciting final, which the CPSC team narrowly won!
The female teams also had exciting fights and beautiful techniques, both in standing and ground combat. In the end, according to the everyone-against-everyone system, the girls from JV Ippon Rodewisch were crowned national champions. The JCL team was happy about second place and the Judokan Schkeuditz team took bronze.
During the tournament there was a great atmosphere in the hall, lots of emotions and a beautiful judo experience. We would like to thank ASV Oelsnitz for the smooth running and great organization of the competition!
