The most deserving athletes were honored on Saturday evening in Community Center Berdam in Ninove during the seventh edition of the Ninofse Sportkrasjel. In addition, several deserving sports employees were also honored.
Many spectators came to Buurthuis Berdam on Saturday evening, where this year’s sports laureates were honored. New this year is that the most deserving sports employees were also honored. “As a tribute to the many selfless employees within the sports clubs,” says chairman of the Sports Council Kris Engels.
This year the prize went to Dimitri Beeckman (Karateclub Hiryu Ninove vzw) and Jan Benoot (BBC CSS Outdoor Living Ninove).
The G-athletes were also put in the spotlight again, including Maarten Poels, Chris Collier, Evy Pessemier, Annemie Verschelden, Jimmy Van Kerkhove and Alain Reyntjens,
The top sports laureate prize this year went to Man-Kei To. She took first place in G-badminton at the European singles championship and second place in doubles at the European championship. (Brent Saey)
