Chris Chiozza signs for Baskonia until the end of the season

This Wednesday, American point guard Chris Chiozza became a new player for Saski Baskonia, a club with which he reached an agreement for this season, to bring “explosiveness and experience” to the Basque team, according to a statement.

“Baskonia acquires the services of Chris Chiozza (Memphis, 1995), new game director who will be under the command of Dusko Ivanovic. The American point guard is committed to the club until the end of the season and will arrive in Vitoria in the next few hours -Gasteiz to join the dynamic with the rest of the team and prepare for the next challenges,” the Basque team advanced on its website.

The 27-year-old American player, trained at the University of Florida, debuted in the NBA in the 2018-19 season with the Houston Rockets, and two years later became a champion with the Golden State Warriors. Chiozza also spent time in the G-League, averaging nine assists per game.

Chiozza landed in the Endesa League last season, as part of the UCAM Murcia squad in the final stretch of the campaign. The North American game director averaged 9.9 points, 3.5 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 11.6 rating credits. “Saski Baskonia brings explosiveness and experience to the direction of the game,” Baskonia highlighted in its statement.
