Chelsea News Round-Up: Reece James’ Injury Update, Points Deduction Fears, and Potential New Transfer Rules

BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID – A round-up of Chelsea’s biggest stories on Wednesday morning, including the latest on Reece James, points deduction fears and potential new transfer rules in the Premier League.

Reece James has issued a promising injury update ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Newcastle United this weekend.

Eddie Howe will welcome the Blues to St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon as both teams look to move up the Premier League table after the international break.

The Blues captain opted not to link up with the England squad this month to focus on his fitness after recently returning from injury.

Reported by Football Londol, James missed most of the start of the Premier League season due to a hamstring problem.

However, the 23 year old defender has now fully recovered.

In fact, he conveyed the news of his recovery on his Instagram story.

Captioning an image of himself training under the lights at Cobham, he wrote: “A good start to the week.”

He said: “Everton can’t do anything.

“I don’t know how you measure it, so I guess it all depends on what happens in the future.

“We’ve all seen what happened with Chelsea under Roman Abramovich or everything at Man City – 115 charges. Is it because other teams are doing well?

“The others are in the top six? Maybe this has something to do with Everton not having the money to play against him.

“City have unlimited numbers, Chelsea have unlimited numbers, so they scare away the people who try to do it.”

“Over the years, postponing and postponing… Everton physically couldn’t do that – I’m sure they would have done it too with the same resources.”
