RB Leipzig plays against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League. Their fans are notorious and often not squeamish. This seems to apply even to taxi drivers in Serbia, as is clear from warnings issued by the club and its supporters.

RB Leipzig has expressly warned its fans about the dangers of the away game against Red Star Belgrade. The club called on its supporters not to wear their fan paraphernalia conspicuously around the city around the Champions League game on Tuesday (9 p.m., DAZN). In addition, you should only use authorized taxis and exchange money at official locations. Around 500 Leipzig fans will be in the stadium.

The club also links to a fan guide for Belgrade created by an RB supporter, which reports on the experiences of Young Boys Bern fans. Taxi drivers charged excessive fares and allegedly extorted payment by force of arms.

The club itself is also taking precautionary measures within its own ranks. The U19, who will play in the Youth League with Belgrade’s youth team on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m., will attend the professional game in the evening. According to a “Bild” report, the players should not appear in RB clothing, but in civilian clothes.
