Manchester United loses at FC Copenhagen and has to worry about qualifying for the round of 16 of the Champions League. In addition to FC Bayern Munich, three other teams have already secured this early.
It was a crazy duel that FC Copenhagen and Manchester United fought in the Champions League. Seven goals, constantly changing leads and a red card – and in the end the underdogs Copenhagen won 4-3 against the English record champions.
Rasmus Höjlund gave Manchester the lead with a double strike. The game ended shortly before half-time when Marcus Rushford was shown red for a serious foul. Copenhagen equalized before the half-time whistle.
Even after Bruno Fernandes’ 3-2 win, the Danes came back again. Lukas Lerarger (83rd minute) and Roony Bardghij shot Copenhagen to victory and United to last place in the group, which FC Bayern confidently leads after the win against Galatasaray. Copenhagen and Galatasaray now have four points each, Manchester is last with three points with two games still to play.
